Utilizing the Whole Life/Health Cycle training approach, this back safety training course explores habits that keep employees healthy and safe. Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Explain how posture, sleep positions, physical fitness, and nutrition contribute to overall back health.
  • Understand the importance of warming up and stretching before physical activity.
  • Identify the correct (and incorrect) way to lift objects.

Online Back Safety Course Topics

  • Anatomy of the back (muscles, spine, shoulders, etc.).
  • The whole life/health cycle.
  • Lifting safety and correct lifting techniques.
  • Back exercises to promote strength and reduce chance of injury.

Online Back Safety Course Duration

This back safety training takes roughly 60 minutes to complete. As it is an online course, it can be started, paused, and resumed as needed.

Assessment and Completion

Testing conducted within this online backs safety course reinforces the material and information presented. A mark of at least 80% must be achieved to pass. Participants are able to repeat the course up to two times (three total attempts) if this mark is not obtained. Upon passing the test, participants are awarded with a certificate of completion.

Universally Compatible

This back safety training was created using standards that allow for full functionality on most devices. It can be taken on most internet-capable Apple, Android, and Windows-based phones, tablets, or computers. This gives participants the ability to start the course on one device and finish it on another if needed.
