COFI Comes to the Vancouver Convention Centre

For the first time since its inception, the Council of Forest Industries (COFI) is holding their annual convention at the Vancouver Convention Centre West! From April 5th-7th, 2017, industry and government leaders from across British Columbia will gather in Vancouver to discuss the key issues and opportunities facing the BC forest industry.

Leavitt Machinery is proud to be exhibiting at this sold out show and to have the opportunity to participate in the most important forest industry conference in Western Canada. With the theme “Forestry for the Planet. Forest Products for the World,” COFI’s annual conference aims to educate attendees and give them an opportunity to share ideas and engage in conversations about the current challenges and opportunities facing the industry.

The 2017 convention will include presentations and conversations on the economic context, operating environment, shifting profile of international markets, new product opportunities, First Nations partnerships and community relationships, innovation, and the policy environment going forward.

COFI is an excellent opportunity to learn and connect with a variety of people working in BC’s forestry industry. From people sharing their experience and knowledge, to receiving insights into the industry, there is something for every attendee to learn and engage in.
