Building a Stronger Future for Leavitt Machinery in Western Washington

Over the past several years, Leavitt Machinery has continued to expand and enhance our dealership presence across Western Washington. Our growth has brought new team members, more equipment and service capabilities, and additional opportunities to support customers within integral industries, across the Pacific Northwest. 

Now, we are taking the next step by bringing our Tukwila branch and Seattle branch, formerly Washington Liftruck, together at a larger centralized facility in Auburn. 

This move is about more than changing addresses. It is part of a broader effort to simplify how we operate, bring our teams and resources together under one roof, and create a more consistent experience for customers across the market. 

Bringing Two Teams Together 

When Washington Liftruck joined Leavitt Machinery in January 2026, it brought an experienced Seattle-area team with strong customer relationships and extensive knowledge of the local material handling market. 

Since the acquisition, our focus has been on bringing the strengths of both organizations together. That includes aligning our systems and processes, expanding the equipment and services available to our customers, and making it easier to work as one team. 

Operating from separate facilities in Seattle and Tukwila allowed us to maintain a strong presence during that transition. As our teams and operations became more integrated and connected, it became clear that combining them in one larger centralized facility would create new opportunities to improve how we support our customers across the Greater Seattle region. 

More Space, Shared Resources and Greater Capacity 

The new Auburn facility allows us to combine the people, inventory, and service capabilities previously operating from our Tukwila and Seattle branches. 

It features a larger equipment yard for staging, rentals and customer equipment, along with expanded shop space that will allow our technicians to support more service work at any given time. Improved shipping and receiving access will make it easier to move equipment and parts through the facility, while increased on-site inventory will better support customer needs. 

Bringing the branches together also allows employees from different areas of our business to work more closely. Sales, rentals, parts, service, operations, training, and administrative teams will be able to share knowledge and coordinate from one central location. 

For customers, the goal is straightforward: easier access to the equipment, expertise, parts, training, and support they need. 

A New Home for JCB Equipment in Lakewood 

As part of the same regional strategy, our Lakewood branch will be evolving into a JCB hub. 

Auburn will serve as a larger, centralized Leavitt Machinery branch, while Lakewood will provide concentrated JCB expertise, equipment, and support. 

This approach helps our teams work more consistently, reduces duplication between locations, and gives customers clearer access to the right people and equipment. 

Supporting the Industries That Keep Western Washington Moving 

Western Washington is home to a diverse economy, and the equipment needs of customers can vary significantly from one operation to another. 

Our teams support warehouses and distribution centers, manufacturers, food and beverage operations, lumber and building material suppliers, construction companies, ports, rail and intermodal operations, municipalities, and many other businesses that depend on reliable equipment to keep products and materials moving. 

Some customers need electric forklifts and warehouse equipment for indoor operations. Others rely on heavy-duty forklifts, telehandlers, rough-terrain equipment, aerial lifts or specialized attachments for outdoor and industrial applications. 

By bringing more equipment, parts, service resources and technical expertise together, we can better support that range of applications from a more connected regional network. 

A Simpler and More Consistent Customer Experience 

Growth through acquisition creates new possibilities, but it can also introduce different systems, processes, and ways of working. An important part of bringing organizations together is finding the best practices from each and creating a consistent approach that benefits customers. 

The Auburn consolidation and the development of the Lakewood JCB hub are important steps in that process. 

We are simplifying where work is performed, standardizing how our teams operate, and making it easier to coordinate support across the region. This will help us provide a more consistent experience whether a customer is purchasing equipment, arranging a rental, ordering parts, scheduling service, or coordinating operator training. 

While our facilities and internal operations are changing, customers will continue working with the knowledgeable people and local teams they know. Existing service agreements, rentals, parts orders, quotes and account activity will continue to be supported throughout the transition. 

Moving Forward Together 

The move to Auburn reflects how far our Western Washington operations have come and where we are headed next. 

By combining our Tukwila and Seattle teams, along with some of our Lakewood team, in a larger facility, integrating the capabilities gained through the Washington Liftruck acquisition, and establishing Lakewood as a dedicated JCB hub, we are building a simpler and more connected regional operation. 

Most importantly, we are creating a stronger foundation to serve our customers today and support their needs as they grow. 

The Leavitt Machinery Tukwila branch will begin operating from our new Auburn facility effective August 12, 2026, followed by the Leavitt Machinery Seattle branch (formerly Washington Lift Truck) on August 20, 2026.
