Small Tools Sales And Support Representative

The Opportunity:

This Candidate will be required to learn and use the product knowledge and tools provided to support both the Counter Sales and Shop Support.  This individual should be able to meet the Parts and Rental related needs of the customer as it relates to small tools sales and rentals. This individual will be required to work as a team member with support from management where needed.  Such as dealing with opening and closing work orders which includes all warranties, sourcing parts, and front counter sales with regards to small tools repairs and general equipment rentals.

Perform small tools rental fleet check in and check outs.Keep them filed electronically with updated pictures on service station computer.

  • Navigate Windows program efficiently & have strong computer and trouble shooting skills.
  • Provide pricing (including freight) and availability of parts to customers work orders and for the rental fleet to maintain the equipment to manufacturer specs.
  • Navigate efficiently on vendors web sites for parts and technical information.
  • Provide a high level of customer service.For both customer sales and rentals to ensure the equipment meets the customer’s job requirements.
  • Deliveries and pickups as needed for small tools rental fleet and sales.
  • Review any shop or customer warranties with vendors as needed.
  • Complete coordination of repairs at a store front level, ensuring work orders and repairs are on track and documented correctly.
  • Act as a stopping point for customers needing equipment/tool repair, arrange, document and recall customers upon completion.
  • Complete small tool rental transactions for walk in customers while also completing contracts, bookings and returns
  • Immediate room for advancement
  • Previous Supervisor experience is an asset
  • Salary/Wage will be dependent on work experience

The Ideal Candidate: 

  • Grade 12 Education required.
  • Previous Rental experience in Small Tools General Equipment experience desired.
  • Mechanical aptitude desired.
  • Effective Communication skills – written, oral, face to face, over the telephone, and via computer.
  • Comfortable working in both a team and independent environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi task
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Works well under pressure
  • A self-starter who can work with minimal supervision
