It is our goal to minimize the negative effects of our operations by continually working to exceed industry standards, comply with environmental legislation and minimize pollution. Using the concepts of Rethinking, Reusing, Reducing and Recycling we will strive to be leader in our industry and our community and maximize the positive effects of our business on the world.

“Leavitt Machinery successfully diverted over 40% of their landfill contribution by increasing recycling service frequency, diverting waste from landfill and therefore reducing the amount of service days required on their waste programs.” Results of waste audit October 2, 2009 – Waste Management of Canada

From 2007 - 2009 Leavitt Machinery diverted 748 cubic yards of recyclable materials from landfill. Equal to 374 full sized pick up trucks; sequestering approximately 117 tonnes of carbon emissions - Urban Impact Recycling Ltd.

Reduction of annual office supply deliveries from 572 to 132. A decrease of 23% for 2009.

• Purchase long lasting durable products that use less packaging
• Partner with suppliers with responsible environmental and social practices
• Limit vendor deliveries and pick ups
• Aim for paperless communication
